Sizing Guide & Product Care

Last Updated: June 24, 2026

Because all apparel on BLACKGIRLSTEES.COM is printed on demand specifically for you, all sales are final. We cannot offer exchanges or refunds for sizing mistakes. Please read our fit recommendations and use the sizing charts below to find your perfect fit before completing your purchase!

1. Important Fit Recommendations

To bring you the best variety of unique styles and premium fabrics, we source our blanks from a few different apparel manufacturers. Because of this, fit and material thickness can vary across different items:

Pro-Tip on Sizing: Depending on the specific brand the garment is sourced from and the blend of materials used, certain styles may run slightly smaller or have less stretch. To ensure a comfortable, relaxed fit, we highly recommend ordering one size up from your usual size on any apparel item.

2. How to Find Your Fit

The easiest way to double-check your size is to take your favorite fitting t-shirt out of your closet, lay it flat on a hard surface, and measure it. Compare those numbers to our charts below:

Width (Chest): Measure across the chest, flat, 1 inch below the armhole from seam to seam.

Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder down to the bottom hem of the shirt.

Unisex Crewneck Tees (Standard Fit Reference)

Our standard unisex tees have a classic, comfortable cut. Remember, if you prefer a roomier fit or are unsure about the fabric blend, go one size up.

3. Product Care Instructions

We want your custom graphics to stay vibrant and bold for as long as possible! Because our designs are printed on demand using premium ink technology, they require proper care in the laundry to prevent cracking, fading, or peeling.

Follow these simple rules every time you wash your merchandise:

Wash Inside Out: Always turn your graphic tees inside out before tossing them in the machine. This protects the printed design from rubbing against other clothes, buttons, or zippers.

Use Cold Water: Wash on a gentle cycle using cold water with mild detergent. Hot water can loosen the graphic bond and cause the shirt to shrink.

Skip the Bleach & Fabric Softeners: Harsh chemicals break down the specialty inks used for your custom prints. Avoid bleach entirely, and skip fabric softeners which can degrade the graphic.

Tumble Dry Low or Air Dry: For the absolute best results and longevity, hang-drying your shirts is highly recommended. If you use a dryer, set it to tumble dry on low heat.

Never Iron the Print: If the shirt needs ironing, iron it inside out on a low setting. Never let a hot iron touch the graphic print directly, or it will melt.
